About the Role
As a Backend/Platform Engineer at Upvista, you will architect robust APIs, optimize complex database queries, scale event queue pipelines, and manage cloud infrastructure. You ensure the performance, scale, and protection of the systems we manage.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Go (Golang), Node.js, or Rust, and SQL database architecture (PostgreSQL).
- Active GitHub contributor graph demonstrating backend design principles (concurrency, testing, structures).
- Experience with event brokers (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka) and asynchronous task execution systems.
- Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Knowledge of database clustering, replication, connection pooling, and indexing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale low-latency APIs, microservices, and event processing jobs.
- Design, review, and optimize database queries and table designs for high-throughput clients.
- Standardize platform architectures, observability logs, metrics, and security sandboxes.
- Troubleshoot high-load memory leaks, database blocks, or connection issues in production.
